KVBC July Rides

Here is the KVBC ride line up for July!  Some great rides ahead!

RIDE CHANGE: Saturday's KVBC Ride in Jefferson Changed to SUNDAY.

Tired of the rain?  So are we!  We are changing the start of this weekend's KVBC ride from Saturday to SUNDAY.  The sun has to come out for more than a few minutes sometime.  Hope you can join us Sunday!

Sunday, June 11 - JEFFERSON

"Lupine Damariscotta Lake" - a most colorful circumnavigation of Damariscotta Lake.

START: 9:00 am at the Jefferson Village School, 48 Washington Road, Jefferson.

DISTANCE: 27 miles.

TERRAIN: moderate with some hills.

HIGHLIGHTS: scenic back roads in full flower with a stop at the Damariscotta Mills Fish Ladder and the Bunker Hill Church overlook of the lake.

 Here are the KVBC Bike Rides in April! These early rides may be cancelled due to weather or road conditions. Think Spring!

March is the New April

 Here are the KVBC Pre-Season Rides in March! Our cycling forefather, Charles E. Pratt's 177th birthday is March 13, and we will try to have a short ride in Vassalboro (his birthplace). The Maine Maple Sunday ride has been relocated to Saturday in Chesterville to better experience maple syrup making and sampling. Sweet! These early rides may be cancelled due to poor road conditions or hypothermic riding conditions (wet weather in sub 50 degree temperatures), and we will attempt to get word out well before the 11:00am ride starts. But if the roads are clear and dry you are welcome to join us!

Please remember to get your vaccines up-to-date, and if not, please remember to bring masks and use them at ride starts and when in close contact with others (you are also free to wear a mask if you feel more comfortable doing so). Hope you can join us as we head into Summer!

Here is the KVBC Ride Calendar for June! A reminder: the KVBC ride in Manchester is still on for tomorrow, Sunday, May 30, at 9:00 am. The KVBC-BCM joint Women's Ride in Augusta on June 5 is currently at capacity (there are still openings at many of the other rides around the state). Lots of great riding ahead - hope you can join us!
